MtejaLink is a product of Lolla Technologies Ltd, part of the ABNO Group. We provide a customer connection platform that allows businesses to collect feedback, handle service requests, display menus and more - all while protecting customer privacy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two types of data:

A. Business Account Data (from businesses that sign up to use MtejaLink)

• • Name and contact details of the account owner.
• • Business name, industry and website.
• • Login details (email and password).
• • Billing details (for paid accounts).

B. End-Customer Interaction Data (from customers who use a business’s QR code, subdomain, or app link)

• • Feedback responses and service requests.
• • Time, date and location of interaction (if location permission is granted).
• • Device/browser type (for analytics).
• • No personal identification is collected unless the customer provides it voluntarily (e.g., entering a phone number for follow-up).

3. How We Protect Customer Privacy

• • We use Anonymous Customer IDs (MIDs) so customers can share feedback without revealing their identity.
• • We do not sell, rent, or trade customer data.
• • All data is encrypted during transfer and stored securely.

4. How We Use the Data

For Business Accounts:

• • To create and manage your account.
• • To deliver and improve our services.
• • To communicate with you about updates, new features and billing.

For End-Customer Data:

• • To deliver feedback and service requests to the business.
• • To provide analytics so businesses can improve their service.
• • To ensure location-aware features (when enabled).

5. Legal Basis for Processing Data

We process your data under:

• •Consent (you choose to give us certain information).
• • Contract (to provide the service you signed up for).
• • Legitimate Interest (to improve services and security).

6. Data Retention

• • Business account data is kept for as long as your account is active and up to 12 months after closure (unless required longer by law).
• • End-customer data is retained according to the business account’s settings but anonymized after 12 months for reporting purposes.

7. Your Rights (Under GDPR & Kenya’s Data Protection Act)

You can:

• • Request a copy of your data.
• • Ask us to correct or delete your data.
• • Withdraw your consent at any time.
• • File a complaint with a data protection authority.
